Yours was always the ideal life. A small town background didn’t deter you from chasing your dreams and you bore the fruit of your talent and hardwork in the form of your own business set-up. You had a wonderful supportive family and your personal and professional lives struck a fine balance.
Okay..... So you dreamt more.......Of scaling the untrodden path.
We still admired you for your guts and your “ live-life-to-the-fullest “ attitude. You were now seen clicked more with your new obsessions than with expressions of your inborn talents. We sensed something amiss but thought it would soon subside. We were hoping that you return back to your original persona soon. Unfortunately you were drifting away from the core that bound some of us to you.
And then the ill news broke. News like this one is seldom a rumour.
It was and wasn’t shocking....... both at the same time. The shock was for the concern of the familial bond that was at stake and the consequences of the news on the innocent life depending on the familial bond at stake.
The expected aspect of the news was that everyone around you.....even the distant lot like us, had somewhere sensed it already. The rate at which you had engulfed yourself in your new obsessions actually left no room for surprise.
Sadly ......you were the last one to realise this.
No obsession is worth it....... if it shatters the foundation on which we stand.
The dream that threatens to turn our envious life upside down ...is nothing but a nightmare .
The sooner we wake up.....the better. You can still do that.
Its never too late to own up our follies.......to leave the estranged path and return.
It troubles even an outside admirer like me to watch you alienate yourself from your near and dear ones.
Take charge girl.........Introspect.
Take professional help if you can’t handle it on your own.
